How to Do Super Star Stitch Braids in 2022

Attention, braid lovers, because there’s a new protective style *just* for you, debuting on today’s episode of The braid. You know we’ve never seen a stitch braid look that we’re not absolutely obsessed with, but there’s definitely a special love for these styles with a little extra pizzazz – like these Superstar Stitch Braids created by Hairdresser Sasha Griffin. 1. Treat your scalp to a pre-oil session. Before you start braiding, give your scalp and strands some TLC by massaging a few drops of moisturizing hair oil or scalp serum into your roots.

2. Try a new design on the sides. The stars here are such a mood, but you can (and should!) also mix things up with a new shape or pattern — like hearts or swirls. Whatever design you choose, just be sure to use a metal rat tail comb to aid in the precise parting.

3. Add some accessories. Box braids and goddess locs aren’t the only protective styles that get accessorized. Adding some small cuffs of hair in these braids will really up the star quality of this style.
