How to Find the Secret Chests in King’s Fall
When it comes to raids destiny 2, most of the loot that players hunt comes from chests that appear after successfully completing an encounter. But in every single raid, Bungie always hides some extra chests throughout the activity. These hidden chests are a good way for players to get an extra chance to get better raid weapon perks, along with a chance at a red border weapon.
For some raids, finding all of these secret chests is part of a triumph (the equivalent of achievements in destiny 2 that will provide cosmetic rewards like shaders. This guide will show you how players can find these secret chests.
How to find the secret chests in King’s Fall
The first chest is in the jumping puzzles section before the totems encounter. Towards the end of the first jumping puzzle, destiny 2 Players will encounter a large wall. If they look closely, players will see a diagonal ledge on the wall going up. Once the ship players are on is close enough, they can jump onto this ledge and carefully make their way up the platform. Near the top is a small alcove with a door inside.
To open the door, two players must stand on the tiles located at the exit of the jumping puzzle. The door opens and stays open as long as two players stand on the tiles. On the other side of the door destiny 2 Players will find a small ledge with a chest on it. For the two players holding the door open, two other players must take their place. Then these two players will take the ship back to the ledge, go up to the door and then go through it to get their loot.
Chest #2: Golgoroth’s Cellar
The second chest can be found immediately after the Warpriest encounter in the maze leading to the next boss, Golgoroth. However, the chest will only appear if Destiny 2 players find and stand on the tiles in the correct order. The plates and their positions are as follows.
- At the beginning of the maze, a player should go to the right. Eventually they come to a dead end and a small alcove to their right where the first tile is.
- The second tile is in a passage to the left of the labyrinth’s exit. At the end of the corridor, the designated player should turn left and they will see the plate.
- The third tile is in the left hallway near the entrance to the maze.
- The fourth tile is at the end of the middle left hallway of the maze. Players should look for a hole near the top of the wall that will allow them to bypass the blocked door standing in their way. Carefully jump down and move towards the slab that is directly in front of you.
- The fifth and final tile is at the end of the hallway to the right of the exit.
Once all the tiles have a player in position, they should all stand on them in the order listed above. If the tiles are entered in the correct order, the chest will appear in the middle passage of the maze. As you approach the plates, destiny 2 Players should watch out for huge holes in the ground.
Chest #3: The Butt Jump Puzzle
The third chest is in the final jumping puzzle section, which is right before Daughters of Oryx. At the first tile, where you have to stand to open the door from the last puzzle section, players should look to the right. When they pull their spirit up and get closer, destiny 2 Players will see a series of rock-like platforms floating in mid-air. While they’re invisible without Ghost, the platforms are there. Using their Ghost, players should navigate their way up to a series of invisible platforms.
Occasionally, players will need to jump onto small (but visible) ledges along a pillar and wall to get to the next invisible platform. Eventually they will come across a door that leads to a room where the chest is located. With this, players have found all three secret chests that are part of the King’s Ransom Triumph. There’s also a chest that drops a guaranteed Deepsight weapon.
