Why do I keep getting the “We need to fix your account” error on Windows 11?

Most of the time, Windows shows the error “We need to fix your account” when it can’t sync your Microsoft account with processes like OneDrive, Office, or Edge running in the background. Microsoft can’t authenticate your account credentials and needs to verify your account in order for it to sync your services.

Also, Windows may be showing the error due to incorrect Shared Experiences settings, corrupted system files, or too many connected accounts. Luckily, there are a few fixes you can try.


1. Update your operating system
