How to freeze cut out cookies

How long do frozen cookies last?

The key to freezing cookies properly and making sure they last is to avoid air. Air in the freezer will cause the flavor and texture of the cookies to break down faster. Properly stored in an airtight container or bag, cookies can be stored in the freezer for up to six months.

How to thaw frozen cookies

When the cravings hit or you need a plate of cookies for company, what’s the best way to defrost them? Take the cookies out of the freezer and place them on a plate. Let them thaw at room temperature for about 20 minutes.

To speed up the process or to warm up your cookies, you can put them in the microwave for a few seconds. They can also be reheated in the oven at 325°F for about 5 minutes.
