How to Get Gold Nuggets (And What They’re Used For)

As players unlock more biomes Disney Dreamlight Valley They have more room to customize and decorate as they see fit. Not only that, but with each new biome that is unlocked, it also offers players the chance to obtain all sorts of brand new resources that can be used.

Whether it’s for cooking, crafting, or a quest, there are all sorts of resources to be found in the later biomes. One such material that players will gradually come across as they unlock biomes is gold nuggets. This guide shows players where you can get gold nuggets along with what they are used for.

Where can you find gold nuggets?

Gold Nuggets can only be found in three biomes. These three biomes are Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, and the Forgotten Lands. Disney Dreamlight Valley Players should focus on unlocking either Sunlit Plateau or Frosted Heights first, as these biomes require far less Dreamlight to open than Forgotten Lands, which requires 15,000 Dreamlight to unlock. While Frosted Heights has some ice blocking half of the biome, players can remove it by completing Elsa’s friendship quests.

In these three biomes Disney Dreamlight Valley Players can find gold nuggets by mining the large black rocks that appear along the walls of these biomes. To have a better chance of getting more gold nuggets, players should bring a companion who has the mining role. This allows players to stock up on gold nuggets.

What are gold nuggets used for?

The main use for gold nuggets is crafting. The first, that Disney Dreamlight Valley Players can use gold nuggets to craft a gold bar. This large gold bar requires five gold nuggets and one coal ore to craft.

After crafting a single gold bar, players will automatically unlock the recipe to craft a fountain. If players want to craft this item, they will need 10 Gold Bars (which requires 50 Gold Nuggets), 20 Pebbles, and 50 Stones.

Are gold nuggets required for quests?

As with many of the resources in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Gold Bars are eventually used in one of Ariel’s quests. If players haven’t unlocked Ariel yet, they might want to consider saving their gold nuggets and/or gold bars ahead of time to save time later.

This is also a good strategy for gems in general, as many quests require them as well. If players don’t have enough storage space for this, they can always expand their house, as this offers more storage space in the standard box that can be found there.
