Like every new Destiny 2 season, Season of the Plunder introduces a new set of activities for you to complete, acquire new seasonal weapons and armor, and more. There are also new resources to farm to advance missions and focus on new seasonal gear.

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder is a pirate-themed season, and one of the new resources is called Map Fragments. You need map fragments to restore treasure maps in the Captain’s Atlas and continue the seasonal quest.
If you’re playing the new season of Destiny 2 and have no idea how to acquire these valuable resources, don’t worry. Here is our guide explaining how to get map fragments in Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder.

How to get map fragments in Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder

To get Map Fragments in Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder, you must grind the new six-player seasonal activity called Ketchcrash. After defeating the final boss in Ketchcrash, open the chest to get a handful of map fragments and other loot.

Each run of Ketchcrash will reward you with 10-11 Map Fragments, which isn’t much, so you’ll probably need to do 3-4 runs of Ketchcrash every week to get the required amount of Map Fragments.

As mentioned above, to restore treasure maps in Captain’s Atlas you need map fragments. Initially, you will need 5 Map Fragments to restore a basic Treasure Map, but higher variants of it will require more of this new resource, so get started!
