Pest professionals at World Birds also suggested using nets to deter pigeons. They said: “This is the best pigeon repellent that protects the hard work you put into your garden. It is best to mount nets on thin sticks instead of thick wooden boards, as the latter can serve as a place to sleep.
“Make sure there is at least 15cm between the net and the nearest branch or shrub to prevent birds from pecking through the mesh. Install at a steep angle so pigeons are not tempted to land on it.”

They stay tacky for weeks in varying weather conditions and being a clear gel it is barely noticeable.
The pest control gurus added: “This is a surefire way to get rid of pigeons without injuring them, but following the instructions properly is key. Avoid heavily smearing an entire surface with the gel as birds can get stuck and injure themselves.”
