Just like linking to another place in a Word document, you can link to another sheet in an Excel workbook. This is a handy way to quickly jump to a table related to your current sheet or cell.

Maybe you have an annual budget with separate sheets for each month. Perhaps you have a company workbook with a different sheet for each department. Or maybe you just have a large workbook with dozens of sheets.

You can make it easy for yourself or your colleagues to view the data on another sheet with just one click.

You can link a specific cell to another sheet, whether that cell contains text, numbers, or even a formula.

When the Insert Hyperlink window opens, select Insert into this document on the left. On the right side you see cell reference and defined names. If necessary, expand the cell reference by clicking the plus sign.

Expand the cell reference to see the sheet list

You will then see a list of sheets in your workbook. From top to bottom, the Sheets list shows from left to right in the row of sheet tabs.
