Removing mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley isn’t as easy as simply using your magic. So we’ve put together a guide to show you how to get rid of those pesky fungi.
There are two things that annoy you in Disney Dreamlight Valley: night thorns and mushrooms. Night Thorns can be eliminated from the offset with magic, but getting rid of mushrooms requires completing a few more quests and gathering some materials.
With a little friendship, a little magic, and a lot of gathering, you’ll be able to clean up more of Dreamlight Valley, make it prettier, and more accessible. How to remove mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Complete the quest “A New Enchantment” with Merlin
This quest is the second friendship quest you receive with Merlin, and it usually takes place relatively early in the game.
He’ll tell you about a temporary enchantment he can put on your watering can to get rid of the mushrooms, but he’ll need some resources before he can perform it. He will ask for ten Dream Shards. Once you give him these, he will need them four dandelions, four white daisies, six apples, and six bananas.
After collecting this, he will temporarily enchant your watering can, allowing you to remove the mushrooms at the entrance to the Glade of Trust. After that it becomes invalid.
Complete the quest “A Dark Experiment” with Merlin
You can’t enchant your watering can again until you reach friendship level eight with Merlin. This will unlock the Dark Experiment questline and allow you to permanently enchant your watering can.
Merlin will ask you to collect 20 Mushrooms, five Emeralds, and three Purified Night Shards. Then he upgrades your watering can permanently.

After the two quests are completed and you have a permanently enchanted watering can, all that remains is to go to a mushroom patch and use your watering can on it. This will remove them and allow you to explore the magical land of Disney Dreamlight a little further.
