How to Screen Record on iPad with Internal and External Sound

Whether you want to create a video to post on YouTube or just share a guide with non-technical family members, iPad’s screen recording feature makes it easy to record your screen. However, integrating the sound is not quite as intuitive.

However, it is entirely possible to record the sound along with the screen. Follow me as I show you step by step how to record your iPad screen along with internal or external audio.

How do I record my screen with audio?

You must first add the Screen Recording option to the Control Panel before you can use it.

Needed time: 1 minute.

Follow these simple steps to add screen recording to Control Panel.

  1. Go to Settings > Control Center and turn it on Access within apps special feature.

  2. Next, scroll down to More controls section and tap Plus sign next to that screen capture special feature.

  3. To start recording your screen and the internal sound of applications like Zoom, access it control center by swiping down from the top right corner of your screen. Then tap the screen capture Symbol.

  4. Please note that a 3 second timer will appear just before the recording starts.
  5. To stop recording, just tap recording icon in the toolbar and select stop recording.

How do I record my iPad screen with outside noise?

You can use the screen recording feature to record the sound coming through your microphone as well. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. If you have them screen capture button in your Control center, Proceed to the third step. Otherwise, navigate to Settings > Control Center and turn it on Access within apps special feature.

  3. Access to record your screen and the external audio coming through your microphone control center by swiping down from the top-right corner of your screen and then long-pressing screen capture Symbol. Tap the microphone icon to turn it on followed by Start recording begin.
