How to shop Kanye West’s latest Yeezy Gap x Balenciaga collection
Kanye “Ye” West isn’t saying goodbye to Gap just yet.
The rapper’s second Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection dropped Thursday – although West, 45, ended his partnership with the retailer last week – and includes outerwear and knitwear, as well as a backpack and shoulder bag, along with a replenishment of original favourites.
Offerings include the Round Jacket 2 ($260) in black, as well as a knee-length Long Round Jacket ($400), Cargo Pant ($220), Waterproof Dry Bag ($200), Coated Cotton Overalls ($300), and more .
Fans can buy the line on Yeezy Gap or Balenciaga websites, as well as on Farfetch, MyTheresa and LuisaViaRoma.
And Ye embraces Yeezy Gap globally – on September 23rd and 26th, the Gap flagship stores in Tokyo and Shanghai will be revamped with purposeful Yeezy design, marking the first time West’s retail creations have been available in stores internationally according to a press release.
Although the star has publicly denounced her relationship with the business, a source tells Page Six Style that this won’t be the last drop in the collaboration.
While West sent a letter to Gap claiming the company hadn’t released certain styles as promised or opened dedicated Yeezy Gap stores as planned, we received an internal message to Gap employees stating the retailer’s intent to see the partnership through to the end.
“While we share the vision of bringing quality, trending, and useful design to all people through unique Omni experiences with Yeezy Gap, how We work together to make this vision a reality. And we decide to end the partnership,” wrote Mark Breitbard, President and CEO of Gap Brands, in part.
“We look forward to our upcoming Yeezy Gap launches and pipeline releases as planned.”
