The 2022 NFL regular season is scheduled to last 18 weeks and total 272 games. “Thursday Night Football” begins September 15 with the Los Angeles Chargers versus the Kansas City Chiefs and will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video. If you’re used to casually turning on the TV to catch weekly “TNF” games each season, you should know that the world of NFL streaming is changing this year. After several years of being available simultaneously on up to three platforms, “Thursday Night Football” now streams live games exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

How to watch Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video

Beginning with the 2022 NFL season, live games from Thursday Night Football will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. 2022 marks the first year of an 11-year deal between the NFL and Prime Video, meaning you can watch “TNF” games now through 2033 on the retail giant’s streaming platform.

Play-by-play legend Al Michaels, who died on Sunday Night Football, and Kirk Herbstreit, best known as an analyst for ESPN’s College GameDay, will take the calls. The “TNF” schedule begins on September 15, 2022 when the Los Angeles Chargers take on Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs.

Ahead of the season premiere of “Thursday Night Football,” Amazon has updated its X-Ray feature, which allows for real-time stats, enhanced replays, trivia, player analysis, polls, and merch shopping while you stream the games.

An Amazon Prime subscription typically costs $15 monthly or $140 annually. Eligible students, EBT, Medicaid and other select recipients of government assistance may receive a 50% discount on the service.
