How to tune the TV in Fortnite while wearing the Bytes outfit

Tune in to the TV while wearing the Bytes outfit is the first step of Bytes’ Quests in Fortnite chapter 3 season 4.

Completing all of Bytes’ quests in Fortnite will earn you seven new styles for his signature pickaxe, The Nothing’s Gift. However, not everyone can participate in these quests as you must have access to the premium Battle Pass this season.

How to unlock the Bytes outfit in Fortnite

To unlock the Bytes outfit in Fortnite, you need to purchase the Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass and then earn enough Battle Stars Unlock Bytes and his The Nothing’s Gift pickaxe on Page 2 of the Battle Pass.

You’ll need to unlock everything else on the site to get Bytes and his pickaxe. So if you need help on how to get XP to earn those stars we have a page on how to get XP fast in Fortnite. However, if you just need a few Battle Stars, you can Slide Kick a runaway boulder and buy an item from Panther, Mancake, or The Underwriter challenges to quickly earn some XP if you haven’t already do you still have.

Once you have Bytes and The Nothing’s Gift, Bytes’ quests will be added to your Quests tab. You can now go to your locker and equip your new Bytes outfit to begin his first task of tuning the TV.


Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is here and with it comes a new Battle Pass! This season introduced EvoChrome weapons, Chrome Splash locations, and the ability to breach walls. There are also new vault locations and map changes. The Paradise Quests are this season’s storyline challenges, including destroying Chrome objects to collect Chrome anomalies. How to set the TV while wearing the Bytes outfit in Fortnite

As mentioned above, go to your locker and equip the Bytes outfit after unlocking it from this season’s Battle Pass before starting a match. The challenge is only considered complete if you wear this outfit.

Once you’ve equipped the Bytes outfit, you can adjust the TV in two places:

  • A small building northeast of Lustrous Lagoon
  • The house between Tilted Towers and Herald’s Sanctum

The TV inside the small building on Shining Lagoon is easily accessible by walking up the northeastern cliffs that surround the area.



The television in the house between Tilted Towers and Herald’s Sanctum is more easily accessible as it is located on the ground floor in the garage of the house.



Simply get close to any of the TVs and press the button shown to tune it in, and you’ll be given a voice line from The Nothing and gain access to the next part of Bytes’ quest.

It’s up to you which TV you tune in to, as both advance the quest. The Shining Lagoon has more loot, but you can always travel to Tilted Towers or Herald’s Sanctum after tuning in on the TV in the house in between if you’d rather go there instead.
