How To Unlock Kiriko In ‘Overwatch 2’

Blizzard turns that on its head over watch business model one surveillance 2, a free-to-play game. We recently learned that again surveillance 2 Heroes will be locked behind a free Battle Pass. I and many others have expressed concern about this decision. But it is what it is.

A brand new support, Kiriko, is the first hero Team 4 is putting behind the Battle Pass. Here’s how to unlock Kiriko (and future heroes). surveillance 2.

Sojourn and Junker Queen are available for free to everyone who logs in during Season 1. If you own the Premium Battle Pass, you automatically get access to Kiriko upon launch. The Premium Battle Pass costs 1,000 Overwatch Coins worth $10.

For those who can’t or don’t want to spend money on the premium Battle Pass to claim Kiriko, it might be a bit difficult. The Battle Pass has 80 tiers and Kiriko unlocks at tier 55 when on the free track.

That seems pretty intense. You can level up the Battle Pass faster by completing daily challenges. However, if you want to play as Kiriko right away, you may have to pay.

Unless you bought the original game before the end of June. If you log in by December 5th, you will receive a Founder’s Pack containing some bonus items. One of them is instant access to Kiriko without having to purchase the Premium Battle Pass.

Beginning in Season 2, new heroes will be introduced in alternate seasons. You can also unlock them by reaching level 55 in the free Battle Pass or by purchasing the premium version.

It’s worth noting that you can play all heroes in certain game modes without grinding or paying. “There are many places where you can play with new heroes that you haven’t unlocked yet,” Blizzard said in a Q&A. “For example, all heroes are automatically playable in the Practice Areas, Custom Matches, No Limits, Mystery Heroes, Mystery Deathmatch, and select other game modes, as well as some special event game modes.”

Those who start playing surveillance 2 After completing the first season (each season lasts nine weeks), you still have a chance to unlock Kiriko. In an interview this week over watch Commercial Lead and Vice President Jon Spector said there will be two ways to get Kiriko in Season 2.

“The first is that we are opening a new hero challenge where you can unlock Kiriko again just by playing the game by completing this challenge and it’s completely free,” said Spector. “And then for players who want the hero right away, we have the option to buy that hero in our shop.”

Blizzard has not yet announced specific prices for items in the shop. However, Spector said it would be pretty close to the premium Battle Pass price of $10 to snag a hero. “We want the Premium Battle Pass to have the highest value and be the most obvious choice for players interested in instant unlocking,” he said.

Again, those who miss out on other upcoming heroes through the Battle Pass can unlock them through special challenges or with Overwatch Coins, the game’s new premium currency.

Starting with Kiriko (perhaps many people have already tried Sojourn and Junker Queen), new heroes will not be immediately available in competitive modes. Kiriko will be added to the Competitive leaderboard two weeks after the start of Season 1. This is intended to give developers a chance to monitor her (and rebalance her if needed) and give people more time to unlock her before she’s available in Competitive.

However, all this will lead to talk about it surveillance 2 is pay to win. After hearing from some members of the over watch team, but I’m not sure that will be the case. I’ll have a story soon with Team 4’s arguments for gating new heroes behind a Battle Pass.
