How to unlock house upgrades

While upgrading the player’s house is unlocked fairly early on in many life simulation games, this is not the case in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Players must first complete some quests. After helping Scrooge McDuck bring more customers to his shop, players will receive a new quest called Scrooge McDuck Dreamlight Valley Economy 101. The first step of the quest is to simply sell Goofy 7 gems of any type. Gems can be found by mining the large black rocks that are found along the cliff walls of each biome in Dreamlight Valley.

Once this step is completed, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will have to talk to Scrooge McDuck and he will tell them to invest the money they have earned by upgrading their house. Players should look inside their house and come across a blue elevator (with a design that looks straight out of Aladdin) right next to the exit. From there, players will see a menu for expanding their home. The first upgrade costs 1,000 Star Coins. Further upgrades allow players to make the first room in their house a little larger and add more rooms to the first floor of their house.

Checking the shield will summon Scrooge, and he will offer the player an opportunity to upgrade their home the low price of 2,000 Star Coins.

While this may seem like just a cosmetic upgrade to the house at first, it adds more storage space to the player’s house. From here Scrooge has two more upgrades to offer for the house that will not only change the look of the house but also add extra floors and storage space. As a second upgrade, players should brace themselves for the same sticker shock costs 20,000 Star Coins And the third costs 75,000 Star Coins.
