How to use Inflatable Decoy to get kills

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has entered Open Beta and has received some nifty new additions from Infinity Ward. One such field upgrade is the inflatable lure. The throwable and deployable gear pieces have always been able to hit enemy players since they have their hitboxes.

A player has successfully defeated an enemy player using the Inflatable Deception Field upgrade. The decoy appears to damage enemy players and secure a full kill for itself.

An inflatable decoy works efficiently in increasing kills in Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is currently in open beta for PlayStation 4 and 5. The game will be available starting September 16th for fans who have pre-ordered it and received access codes for it.

The Call of Duty community keeps finding incredible new ways to send players to their graves. These players would rather throw a grenade from five meters away than aim and shoot their enemies.

Modern Warfare 2 has once again presented players with an amusing toy to play around with. It was introduced as a field upgrade. The inflatable lure is a defensive archetype. It is triggered by approach and can also be inflated manually.

A Twitter user, @itsHunterTV, was the first to post a video of him securing a kill with the inflatable lure.

Players must first equip the inflatable decoy as their field upgrade. Players must then wait for the perfect enemy to enter them, or preferably chase them into a room.

It is important to note that players must throw the inflatable lure directly into a position where the enemy player is standing on it.

If the enemy player fails to notice the decoy device under their feet, it will automatically deploy after a delay, instantly killing them with its violent inflation.

Players can also inflate the decoy manually by pressing the Field Upgrade command again after using it to activate the gadget faster.

Enemy players killed using this method will likely not be satisfied with the summary showing them exactly what happened. The instant destruction from the inflatable decoy, which is nothing but a Kevlar balloon in the shape of a fighter, will cause some concerns among the players.

This is exactly how Activision holds these beta periods so players can find exploits that the developers and testers may have missed. Activision may revise the field upgrade in hopes of avoiding its abuse in lobbies.
