how to watch and stream the MLB playoffs

The Phillies take on the Atlanta Braves in Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Friday, and for the first time this postseason, the game will be held in Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park.

It’s the first MLB playoff game Philadelphia has hosted since 2011, when the Phillies were eliminated by the St. Louis Cardinals in the Divisional Series. While the Braves managed to level the series 1-1 with Wednesday’s win, the Phillies can eliminate Atlanta in the best-of-five series by winning in front of home crowds on both Friday and Saturday.

“Obviously we wanted to win those two games,” Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Thursday. “But leaving here with a breakup and coming home to a full house full of passionate people, I think they’re going to give our boys a little chance.”

After the first two games in the series aired on Fox, the network will broadcast the remainder of the series on its cable channel, FS1. Fox airs college football games on Saturdays, and on Sundays its schedule is coordinated with the NFL. But on Friday, the only programs the Philadelphia game will compete with on Fox 29 are reruns Judge Judy, TMZand a repeat of You bet your life with Jay Leno.

Here’s everything you need to know to watch Game 3 of the Phillies Braves series:

Phillies-Braves Game 3 is scheduled to begin at 4:37 p.m. Eastern on FS1.

Joe Davis, the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Spectrum SportsNet LA, calls the Phillies Braves series for Fox. He will be joined by Hall of Famer John Smoltz while Ken Rosenthal will report from Citizens Bank Park.

There’s also longtime Phillies announcers Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen who will call the game at 94.1 WIP. The duo have worked together in the dressing room since 2006 after Andersen – known to fans simply as “LA” – reduced his workload to 40 games this season.

“It was hard making the decision to do it. But I just had the feeling that it was about time,” said Andersen before the start of the season. “A lot of heartbreak, a lot of emotion if you put your mind to it. It’s not something I took lightly.”

Bill Kulik and Oscar Budejen will call Phillies-Braves in Spanish at 4:00 p.m. at La Unika. The game will also be broadcast on Spanish television on Fox Deportes, with Carlos Alvarez and Jaime Motta on the phone.

Phillies-Braves will be streamed via the Fox Sports app, although it will only be available to those with a cable subscription.

The game will also stream on every so-called skinny bundle that includes Fox, including fuboTV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV and DirecTV Stream. Most offer a free trial.

If you watched the last two playoff games with a wireless digital antenna, you’re out of luck with the rest of the series as the remaining games will air on FS1, which is only available with a cable subscription.

Aaron Nola (11-13, 3.25 ERA) will take the mound for the Phillies, who will have his first chance to start a postseason game in front of Phillies fans at Citizens Bank Park.

“They say it’s special,” Nola told reporters Thursday. “We know it’s going to be electric and to finally get back here in the post-season is great.”

Kevin Burkhardt will host Fox’s MLB studio coverage, though he’s also scheduled to switch to the NFL on Fox Sunday at 1 p.m. to call the New York Jets at the Green Bay Packers.

WIP will also provide pre- and post-game coverage moderated by Gregg Murphy.
