“Story as old as time”. It may be hard to believe, but it’s been 30 years Beauty and the Beast animated film came out. When will Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration come out?

The two-hour special airs this week, so it’s time to mark the occasion on your calendar. Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration will be televised Thursday, December 15 at 8pm ET/PT. If you can’t catch it on TV, the special will be available on Disney+ starting Friday, December 16.

Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration will be broadcast on ABC. Given that Grey’s anatomy and train station 19 until February 2023, the open time window fits this commemoration like a glove. This short promotional video introduces us to the cast and their roles at the Disney Celebration. Singer-songwriter HER will dive into her first screen role as Belle. She will also be the first black and Filipino woman to play the Disney Princess on screen. Another singer-songwriter, Josh Groban, is set to play the prince-turned-beast who becomes Belle’s romantic interest. Tick ​​tick boom‘s Joshua Henry intended to portray Gaston, the conceited villain who is in love with Belle. The beast’s servants (Lumiére, Mrs. Potts and Cogsworth) are played by Martin Short, Shania Twain and David Alan Grier respectively. What is Beauty and the Beat: A 30th Celebration?

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the beloved Disney animated classic and its Academy Award nomination for Best Picture, The Wonderful World of Disney and ABC are pleased to present Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Anniversary Celebration. This 2-hour blended animation and live-action special pays tribute to the original Disney animated film Beauty and the Beast and its legacy by presenting the fan-favorite film along with new unforgettable musical performances and taking viewers on a magical adventure to the eyes of Belle. “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration” airs THURSDAY, DEC. 15 (8pm-10pm EST) on ABC and will be available on Disney+ the next day. The special presentation includes never-before-seen live musical performances and features brand new sets and stunning costumes inspired by the classic story. Each performance was created to pay homage while expanding the iconic story for viewers at home. Songs from the original animated classic will be performed to a live audience at Disney Studios.

In the same way that fans can watch the special through Disney Plus, they can also watch the animated and live-action films. Both the 1991 film and the 2017 adaptation are available to stream on the platform. You can also rent through either YouTube, Amazon Prime Video or Apple TV+.
