While glass onion Premieres on Netflix on December 23, eager fans can catch the film in theaters for a special Thanksgiving release before it streams. Scheduled for a week-long run from November 23-29, glass onion will be shown in 600 cinemas including AMC, Regal and Cinemark, tickets are available now.

What do we know about the new sequel?

Our favorite detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is back and this time in Greece. Blanc is snooping around a luxurious private estate on an idyllic island and soon encounters a strange group of friends, all invited by billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton).

There are business moguls, models, scientists and influencers. But while the members of this group are all proud of their diverse careers, they all become suspects when a sudden death strikes the island. Who, where, what, why? Benoit Blanc will find out for sure.

The top-class cast for glass onion also includes Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.

Mashable’s deputy entertainment editor Kristy Puchko gives a spoiler-free review of the sequel and says: “Johnson has assured that lightning will strike twice in this highly anticipated sequel. Once again he has put together a smashing ensemble that is not only explosively entertaining in its roles, but also oozes with the exuberance of the project.”

She continues, “There is an energy to this sequel that is uplifting and infectious. Its pace races, then slows to swell around a dynamic new curve; It’s as if Blanc’s strong grip has us by the hand, sovereignly guiding us through betrayal, greed and murder at a pace reminiscent of the fantastic final acts of a notice.”

Puchko also mentions that Johnson plays with “reversals, revelations, flashbacks and complicated alliances … with such panache that glass onion doesn’t feel like repeating steps, it feels like the continuation of a captivating dance number.”

“Craig and his co-stars are nimble at every step, glowing brightly on screen like old-school stars, exuding glamour, machismo or outrageousness, while at the same time feeling larger than life and all too real.” So it’s safe to say the sequel is a hit .
