When will Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile be released?

Will Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile stream the same day as in theaters?

Unfortunately, Lyle, Lyle, crocodile won’t be available to stream on launch day, and there’s no news on which streaming service it will end up on.

However, Sony Pictures Entertainment signed a five-year deal in April 2021 that gives Netflix the exclusive US rights to Sony’s films once they leave theaters and premium video-on-demand services, so you can expect the film to be there will land coming months.

When the Primm family moves to New York City, their young son, Josh, struggles to adjust to his new surroundings. All that changes when he discovers Lyle, a singing saltwater crocodile, who lives in the attic of his new home. The two become fast friends, but when Lyle’s very existence is threatened by evil neighbor Mr. Grumps, the Primms must team up with Lyle’s charismatic owner, Hector P. Valenti, to show the world that one family comes from the most unexpected of places can.

A full length trailer for Lyle, Lyle, crocodile was released on September 7th. It begins with an introduction from its star Shawn Mendes as well as some behind-the-scenes footage of Mendes recording the soundtrack. The trailer, which plays to Mendes’ song “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back,” begins with the image of a terrified little child who suddenly finds an alligator in his attic. In his feature film debut, Shawn Mendes Lyle plays the crocodile and brings the original songs to life. Mendes first rose to fame in 2015 with his song “Stitches,” becoming one of five artists to debut at number one before the age of 18. He’s since dabbled in songs like “Señorita” and “Treat You Better”. After starring in a concert film and documentary for Netflix, Mendes seems ready to pursue acting. Next to Mendes is Constance Wu as Mrs Primm. Wu made his mark on the hit CBS sitcom degrees off the boat as the strict matriarch of a Chinese immigrant family living in Florida. Since then, she has also proven to be a formidable movie star. As the face of one of the biggest rom-coms of the decade Crazy rich Asiansshe won everyone’s hearts and showed her ability for dramatic work in hustlers. Javier Bardem plays Hector Valenti, Lyle’s eccentric owner. Bardem won an Oscar for his deadly role in joel and Ethan Coen‘s No country for old men and has had a glittering career in both the US and Spain.

Who wrote the original songs in Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile?

The film’s original songs were written by executive producers Benj Pasek and Justin-Paul along with Ari Afsar, Emily Gardner Xu Hall, Markus Sonnenblickand Joriah Kwame. Pasek and Paul are an already famous songwriting team. They are best known for their work on Broadway in Dear Evan Hansen as well as her songwriting on film with musical hits like The greatest showman and la la country. Meanwhile, Ari Asfar previously starred in the musical Hamilton and has written songs for other plays. Emily Gardner Xu Hall, Mark Sonnenblick and Joriah Kwame may not be as well known, but have received multiple awards for their respective work on Broadway and television, including an Emmy for Sonnenblick.

Although the plot seems silly and the setting is outrageous, it’s a classic tale about the fish or the zebra out of water. Featuring a relatable story and great voice acting from Rock, Ben Stiller, Jada Pinkett-Smithand David Schwimmerit’s definitely a crowd puller!

To redden – This was a breakthrough hit earlier this year and will surely stand the test of time. To redden tells the story of Mei, a 13-year-old Chinese-Canadian living in Toronto. Waking up one morning in the body of a giant red panda, she finds that she suffers from an inherited curse that causes her to turn into this furry creature whenever she gets overly emotional. Using this strange conspiracy of physical transformation and ancient curses, Director Dome Shiis a great metaphor for the challenges and alienation that accompany puberty and the generational trauma that many young children face.
