How to Watch Star Wars: Andor – Release Date, Cast, and More

The next Star Wars live-action series is just around the corner, as Star Wars: Andor debuts its first three episodes on Disney Plus this week. This latest series serves as a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in which Diego Luna reprises his role as Cassian Andor.

Star Wars: Andor will be available to stream exclusively on DisneyPlus. The first three episodes will be released on September 21st. Subsequent episodes will be released every Wednesday through November 23rd.

There will be 12 episodes in each of the first and second seasons of Andor. Official runtimes have not been announced, but based on previous live-action Star Wars shows, 30- to 50-minute episodes are a safe bet. The release schedule is as follows:

What is Star Wars: Andor about?

Star Wars: Andor is a prequel series to the spinoff film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, set five years before the Attack on the Empire. Here’s the official synopsis from Disney:

“The Andor series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover what he can make a difference. The series advances the story of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planet became involved. It is an era of peril, deceit and intrigue that Cassian will tread the path destined to transform him into a rebel hero.”
