The Detroit Lions have enjoyed the comfort of a home game for the last two games, but now they need to get going. Detroit and the Minnesota Vikings will face off in an NFC North bout on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET at US Bank Stadium. Teams split their matchups last year, with Minnesota winning the first 19-17 at home and the Lions winning the second 29-27.

Detroit clinched a solid 36-27 victory over the Washington Commanders last Sunday. Detroit’s WR Amon-Ra St. Brown was on fire, catching nine passes for two TDs and 116 yards. St. Brown’s longest streak was 58 yards in the third quarter.

Detroit’s defense was also present, getting past Washington’s offensive line to sack QB Carson Wentz five times for a total loss of 29 yards. Above all DE Aidan Hutchinson and his three sacks. Those were Hutchinson’s first sacks.

Meanwhile, last Monday’s game between the Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles wasn’t a total blowout, but with Minnesota falling 24-7 on the road, it came damn close to turning into one. QB Kirk Cousins had a memorable game, but not in the way one would like to remember: Despite one touchdown, he threw three interceptions for just 4.8 yards per pass attempt.

Detroit is expected to lose this next game by 6. They hadn’t treated fans well this season but they’re at least enjoying a 2-0 record against the spread.

Detroit prevailed over Minnesota in a thrilling duel when the two teams met earlier in December last year, slipping by 29-27. The rematch could be a bit more difficult for the Lions as the team won’t have home field advantage. Let’s see if the change of location brings anything.
