Intellian unveils latest flat panel terminals at Satellite 2023

Intellian Technologies Inc., a global provider of robust, feature-rich satellite user terminals and multi-constellation communications solutions, is introducing its latest Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) technology at Satellite 2023 in Washington, DC

The Intellian portfolio of flat panel user terminals includes solutions designed to operate in the fixed enterprise, land mobility, maritime, government and defense sectors. ESA’s full-duplex user terminal will operate on the OneWeb satellite network, with production scheduled to begin in Q3 2023.

Flat panel displays are ideal for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) networks. The OneWeb LEO satellites require a satellite handoff approximately every two to three minutes, depending on the geographic location of the user terminal. That’s why the Intellian flat panel display is designed to electronically scan a wide field of view in hundreds of microseconds for seamless handovers. Intellian’s ESA product design focus was on optimizing size, weight, performance and cost so they can provide seamless connectivity for remote communities and minimal infrastructure to cellular backhaul solutions and installations in critical first responder vehicles.

The OW11FL full-duplex user terminal features a weatherproof, low-profile antenna designed to provide enterprise customers with high reliability and performance. Coupled with the CNX WiFi indoor unit, the OW11FL offers the ideal solution for enterprise, community broadband and civil government applications.

The innovative ESA modular user terminal, developed by Intellian’s industry-leading in-house engineers, has enabled the parallel development of a half-duplex user terminal and will facilitate the rapid development of other configurations and form factors to address alternative markets and use cases, including military man- Pack, also on display at Satellite 2023.
