Embiid was so dominant and the Philadelphia 76ers’ performance so overwhelming that Doc Rivers benched him after the third quarter.
Rivers probably wanted to give the superstar Big Man as much rest as possible given her schedule. After their game in Charlotte, they had to travel to Indiana to play the Pacers on the second night of a back-to-back set.
The Philadelphia 76ers have yet to file an injury report, but Joel Embiid will likely be available tonight. Philly’s big win and Embiid’s efficient night going from the field 16-21 gave him the rest he wanted in the matchup against the Pacers.
Today’s game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Indiana Pacers will be the fourth and final game this season. Joel Embiid’s team is undefeated against them. However, fans can rest assured that the Pacers will do anything to win.
Indiana is desperately trying to push its way into the playoffs via the play-in tournament. A win over the 76ers can certainly improve their chances of doing just that.

The NBA has yet to receive the Philadelphia 76ers’ injury report as they just clinched a win over the Charlotte Hornets last night. They will send out the official casualty list later today.
Considering Joel Embiid only played 29 minutes against the Hornets last night, he should be in good shape against the Indiana Pacers. Unless the 76ers err with caution and want to manage their load, the all-star center should lead their roster against the home team.
The MVP race is also heating up with Embiid and Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic going head-to-head for the award. “JoJo” might want to keep his momentum going by playing as often as possible.
If the 76ers get him out of the way for some reason, Embiid should be back in Philly on March 20 against the Chicago Bulls.
