Jones narrowly blocks a butt right in front of Garbrandt, who likes to operate on the outside.

Garbrandt shows boats by hopping to his feet before the end of the round.

We return to the men’s 135lb division for a pivotal showdown between former champion Cody Garbrandt and Trevin Jones.

Garbrandt is in desperate need of a big win having won just one of his last six.

Du Plessis wins

Dricus Du Plessis defeated Derek Brunson by second-round TKO from the corner.

Another great win for the South African.

Brunson vs. Du Plessis – Round two

Du Plessis opens with two hard calf kicks to Brunson’s left leg.

The pace has slowed. But just as I say this, Brunson gets caught by a hard left hook as he tries to close the distance.

A hard body kick lands for Du Plessis, who follows up with a good left hand.

Brunson toom that flush but appears injured. But he comes back for ore.

Another big left hand for Du Plessis hurts Brunson – who tamped a takedown after intercepting a leg kick.

Both men land hard, hard shots while swinging wildly. Du Plessis’ takedown attempt is blocked.

Brunson eats hard, hard shots from Du Plessis but pushes him on.

Both men are nuts. Du Plessis injures Brunson with straight and follow-up shots.

Down goes Brunson, who eats several unanswered punches. The coaches throw in the towel.

Du Plessis immediately occupies the center of the octagon after the Touch Gloves.

A wild headbutt misses Du Plessis and he is quickly knocked out by hardened wrestler Brunson.

Du Plessis tries to break out of Brunson’s lateral control but is unable to.

Brunson transfers to half watch but loses his position and they get back on their feet.

But Du Plessis gets a big takedown himself.

Du Plessis is upstairs practicing heavy punches. A short scramble ensures that Brunson uses a leglock.

Du Plessis tries one of his own, but Brunson rolls through and takes his back.

Du Plessis tries to shake him off, but to no avail.

You’re back on your feet. Brunson lands several punches before you shoot Plessis.

Brunson stuffs and lands on top before switching to the back looking for a choke.

Du Plessis survives and makes it back to his feet – where he almost lands a spinning fist on the horn.

Next up is a crucial middleweight showdown between veteran Derek Brunson and challenger Dricus Du Plessis

South Africa’s Du Plessis flies high after a submission win over Darren Till last December.

Brunson, meanwhile, will be trying to recover from a brutal KO loss to Jared Cannonier last February.
