Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s best style moments before breakup

You will always have the Met Gala.

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have split after nine months of dating. An insider told Page Six that the pair have “decided to just be friends” and that “the long distance and their demanding schedules have made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.”

Another source told us the duo’s 13-year age difference caused the split, saying that between Davidson’s “spontaneous and impulsive” personality and Kardashian’s devotion to their four children, “they’re just in very different places right now.”

The two stars met when Kardashian was hosting “SNL” in October 2021, just months after she filed for divorce from Kanye West. She was at a wardrobe crossroads at the time, with no ex acting as her personal stylist, and about to trade in her neutral Yeezy tones and Balmain shine for a “future alien Barbie” aesthetic .

At the same time, Davidson was making waves with his so-called “scumbro” look, which was all about expensive streetwear that was intentionally scruffy.

But as they say, opposites attract — and over the course of their courtship, the two have showcased their pair style on red carpets and aplenty on Instagram. Here are their best fashion moments together.

Kardashian dominated the headlines during the 2022 Met Gala by appearing in the very shimmering nude dress Marilyn Monroe wore to sing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to John F. Kennedy at Madison Square Garden in 1962.

Because the historic garment couldn’t be altered, the star lost 16 pounds in just three weeks to make sure it fit – a decision that sparked backlash, as did post-gala photos of the dress showing signs of damage, it said caused by Kardashian. (Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, which borrowed the look, denies it was damaged during the outing.)

Far less controversial was the sleek Dior tuxedo that Davidson wore with matching sunglasses and a diamond-studded Rolex to help Kardashian up the steps of the Met in the delicate dress.

For a dinner date at London’s River Cafe, Kardashian kept things casual — by her standards, anyway — with black Balenciaga “pantashoes” and a matching hoodie and a furry hourglass bag from the high-fashion label, while Davidson went for a mix Flannel and dark jeans underneath his Supreme x Dickies quilted jacket.
