Knicks schedule 2022-23: Dates, times, national TV games, final record prediction

The 2022-23 NBA schedule has been announced, bringing us one step closer to the start of the new season.

The Knicks will be a team of intrigues after making one of the biggest splashes in free agency, signing former Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson to a four-year, $104 million deal after the 25-year-old lost a 2021-22 had breakout season.

Brunson became Dallas’ second-best player, averaging 21.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 18 playoff games en route to the Western Conference Finals.

He will join a core group of RJ Barrett, Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson as the Knicks attempt to return to the playoffs for the second time in three seasons.

After qualifying for the 2020 postseason, New York underperformed last season, ending with a 37-45 record. Can Brunson be the leader the Knicks need to bring playoff basketball back to Madison Square Garden?

Knicks 2022-23 schedule

The Knicks begin their season away against Ja Morant and the Grizzlies on Oct. 19 on ESPN. Their home game is October 21 against Cade Cunningham and the Pistons.

Their first game against the Cross-Town Nets is on November 9 on ESPN.

Knicks National TV Games 2022-23

The Knicks have 13 nationally televised games on ESPN, ABC or TNT. If you include the three NBA televised games, New York has a total of 16 nationally televised games in the 2022-23 season.

Here are some of the Knicks’ notable national TV games:

Knicks 2022-23 record prediction

According to Fan Duel, the Knicks’ overall win for the 2022-23 season is set at 39.5.

New York won 37 games in 2021-22 and it only got better with the addition of Brunson.

If Randle can return to his All-Star form and Barrett, still only 22, continues to progress, there’s no reason the Knicks shouldn’t be more than three wins better than last season.

Even as the East continues to strengthen, I expect New York to improve and reach the over.
