There was another sighting of the latest beta production build of the Tesla Cybertruck, this time from the front, and it shows that the electric cutting still has the controversial and massive front wiper.

Last week there was the first sighting of the latest version of the Cybertruck in Palo Alto, California, but the photo and video only showed the Cybertruck from the side and rear. The new footage showed the design has been updated with triangular side mirrors to match the lines of the Cybertruck itself. Elon Musk confirmed in one tweet To driving a Tesla that it was the latest build and very close to the production design (and that the side mirrors will still be removable), but that further tweaking was needed before it’s finalized.

Many fans are now hoping that one of those yet to come design tweaks will be the Cybertruck’s front wiper, as a new photo posted by Marc Delice on Tesla Cybertruck’s Facebook page shows it’s still present in this latest version. Unfortunately, no additional information was included with the photo, but we suspect it was also taken in Palo Alto today. (h/d: @greggertruck)

The massive windshield wiper was a thorn in the side of many Tesla fans, and apparently Musk himself, too, who has previously said it’s the part of the design that bothers him the most. He had also suggested that a windshield wiper that could be stowed behind the front trunk would be ideal but at the same time complex to implement. Based on this photo, it appears they have not been able to implement this proposed design…yet.

Luckily, Musk has done that before called This monolithic wiper is “not the production wiper,” so we could still see a change when it lands in the hands of the first customers. If this turns out to be the final design, it will actually be two larger wiper blades under the single arm. We noticed that when we got a close look at the windshield wipers at last year’s Cyber Rodeo.

Aside from the side mirrors, nothing appears to be very different from the front of the Cybertruck on this latest beta production build. Do you discover something new? Let us know in the comments below.
