Lexus creates UX 250h F Sport Design special edition
A striking F Sport Design special edition has been added to the stylish Lexus UX SUV range. Available at local showrooms mid-April, the exclusive 250h front-wheel drive model will start at $58,120 plus road cost and will be limited to just 250 examples.
It features unique exterior and interior enhancements including bespoke front and rear bumpers, grille, 18-inch runflat wheels and F-Sport Design badging. There are also black roof rails and exterior mirror caps as well as wheel arches painted in the vehicle color.
For the first time on the UX there is also a two-tone roof. Inside, the special variant adds a sunroof, a colored head-up display and a smart key card. Six exclusive two-tone exterior colors are available.
These include White Nova, Sonic Chrome, Sonic Iridium, Caliente, Carnelian, and Cobalt Mica. Upholstery with NuLuxe leather accents can be finished in Black or White Ash hues, paired with premium washi paper ornaments.
Building on the already strong specification of the UX 250h 2WD Luxury + EP2, the F Sport Design Special Edition comes standard with a wireless phone charger, heated seats with an eight-way adjustable driver’s seat and a power tailgate.
These items are used in place of aluminum door sills, illuminated entry and a tire repair kit. A full suite of active safety technologies is standard, as is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a 7.0-inch multi-information display.
The former offers wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto and DAB+ digital radio. Power for the UX 250h 2WD F Sport Design comes from Lexus Hybrid Drive, which combines a 2.0-litre petrol engine and an electric motor on the front axle.
With 107 kW/188 Nm from the petrol engine and 80 kW/202 Nm from the electric motor, the combined peak output is 135 kW with an average combined fuel consumption of 4.5 litres/100 km.
Like the rest of the UX range, the special edition UX 250h 2WD F Sport Design comes with free Lexus Connected Services, including a smartphone app that provides information and can even lock and unlock the doors remotely.
A three-year subscription to the Lexus Encore Owner Benefits Program is also included; Offers service at a limited rate, 24-hour roadside assistance, free loaner vehicles when your car is serviced, and a host of other owner benefits.
