Minecraft Mob Vote 2022: How to vote for Sniffer, Rascal or Tuff Golem

It’s almost time for Minecraft’s fourth-ever mob vote – and players have been urged to prepare for changes to how they cast their votes this time around.

Mob voting took place in 2017, 2020 and 2021 and we can’t wait to see which mob – and their unique mechanics – will be chosen to join the game during Minecraft Live 2022.

Will Sniffer, Rascal or Tuff Golem join Minecraft this year? Well, it’s entirely up to you, the players. Read on to find out how and when to cast your vote.

When does Minecraft Mob Vote 2022 voting start and end?

Here in the UK, the poll for Minecraft Mob Vote 2022 starts at 14 October 5pm BSTone day before the official Minecraft live stream.

You only have 24 hours to vote before voting closes at 5pm BST on October 15th when the Minecraft Live stream begins. You can watch it on the official YouTube account for Minecraft.

However, if previous Minecraft community polls are sufficient, it is likely that the top two mobs selected will be included in a second poll.

The live event will announce the official winner on October 15th during the live stream.

How to vote in the Minecraft Mob Vote 2022

There are three ways you can participate in Minecraft mob voting:

1. Minecraft Bedrock Edition will have a dedicated server for the live event – you can participate and vote from PC, console or mobile
2. The Java Edition section of the Minecraft launcher also allows you to vote
3. Or you can just go to the official Minecraft website

We reckon that by far the easiest way to vote is to go to the official website – and here’s how to cast your vote.

When voting begins, go to Minecraft.net and sign in with your Microsoft account. You will see a large Minecraft Live Mob Vote 2022 banner with a Learn More button to click.

When you are taken to the next page, you will see an option to vote online. This link will work once voting is open.

Select your favorite mob and click the submit button. Voilà, you have cast your vote.

What are the mob options in the Minecraft Mob Vote 2022?

There are three mobs to choose from in this year’s Mob Vote: Sniffer, Rascal, or Tuff Golem. Here’s everything you need to know about them before making your choice.

Snoop: This dinosaur-like mob digs up seeds that can grow into unique plants. The extinct Overworld mob can be brought back with rare eggs, and once one hatches into a cute Baby Sniffer, they’ll find rare seeds for you to plant.

Rascal: The neutral Rascal mob exists in the caves of the overworld and looks like a goblin with backpacks. Rascals love to play hide-and-seek with players in mine shafts, and spotting one three times will reward you with a rare item.

Tuff Golem: This statuesque mob is decorative and players must wake up Tuff Golems to use their abilities. Once one springs into action, they’ll run around picking up any item you’ve dropped.
