The second week of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 The beta starts on September 22nd and offers players the opportunity to test the highly anticipated upcoming FPS. The reboot of 2009 Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28th, making this multiplayer beta one of the last chances for gamers to get their hands on the game before launch.
During the first week of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Beta, which ran from September 16th to 20th, was only available to PlayStation players, the second week is open to all players. First, all PlayStation players and those who pre-ordered on Xbox, Steam or Battle.Net will have access to the beta on September 22nd and 23rd. Then, from September 24th to 26th, the beta will be available to all players on these platforms, regardless of the pre-order.
How to join the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta
joining the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 The open beta, which runs September 24-26, is extremely straightforward. All players have to do is search for the open beta client on their platform’s store and download the game before the beta ends on September 26th.
However, for those players who pre-ordered the game, the process to participate in the Early Access beta on September 22nd and 23rd is a bit more complicated. Along with their pre-order, players will also receive a beta code from their retailer, which they can use to download the beta client:
- Redeem the beta code at callofduty.com
- Select a selected platform and local region
- Receive a confirmation code to enter in the selected platform’s shop to unlock the beta
- Start the beta download
The beta download will be between 15GB and 30GB depending on the platform and region. Once PC, Xbox, or PlayStation players have downloaded the beta client, all they have to do is wait until September 22nd at 10:00am PDT to start playing. (6pm BST, 7pm CEST, 1pm EDT)
What’s included in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Beta
That Modern warfare 2 Beta is multiplayer only, meaning players will have to wait until launch to experience the game’s single-player campaign. However, players can participate in the following game modes:
- Team Deathmatch
- domination
- prisoner rescue
- Hit
- Search and destroy
- ground war
These game modes will be playable on a variety of new maps including:
- farm 18
- Valderas Museum
- Mercado Las Almas
- Breenberger Hotel
- Sarrif Bay (ground war only)
By earning XP and leveling up in the beta, players can unlock permanent rewards Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. These range from an animated emblem at level 2 to the Frontal Impact Weapon Blueprint at level 30. All rewards unlocked during the beta will be available immediately when the game launches on October 28th.
