NFL odds Week 3: How to bet Packers-Buccaneers, pick

A three-time MVP meets a four-time MVP in a Battle of the Bay Showdown in Week 3 of 2022 NFL Season. It’s also America’s Game of the Week on FOX (4:25pm ET on FOX and the FOX Sports App), so what more could you ask for?

The Green Bay Packers travel to Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.

The Packers win a strong 27-10 win over the Chicago Bears in an early division game. Aaron Rodgers was on fine form welcoming Allen Lazard as Green Bay made first-half touchdown drives of 75, 54 and 67 yards en route to a 24-7 halftime lead. Rodgers struggled with his receivers throughout the summer, preseason and Week 1. Let’s see if everyone is on the same page this week as this is going to be a big test.

After being scoreless in the first half, the Buccaneers scored 20 points in the second half to defeat the New Orleans Saints 20-10 in Week 2, giving Tom Brady his first regular-season win over Nola since arriving in Florida. Brady and Rodgers face off for the fifth time in their careers, with Brady winning three of them, most recently at the 2021 NFC Championship.

Here’s everything you need from a Packers-Buccaneers game betting perspective, from point spread, moneyline, total over/under and expert picks (odds via FOX Bet):

TIED TOGETHER: Packers stand their ground

packer @ privateer (4:25 p.m. ET Sunday, FOX)

Point distribution: Privateers -1.5 (Privateers prefer to win with more than 1.5 points, otherwise Packers cover)
money line: Privateers – 120 favorites to win (bet $10 to win $18.33 total); Packers -105 win underdogs (bet $10 to win $19.52 total)
Total score over/under: Both teams scored 41.5 points together

Aaron Jones led the Packers in Week 2 with 132 rushing yards. The Packers are 12-1 if Jones has more than 100 rushing yards.

The Packers are 2-5 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven games.

The Packers have hit the under in the over/under (O/U) in four of their last six games.

A win would see the Buccaneers start 3-0 for the first time since 2005.

Including the postseason, the Buccaneers are 5-0 in their last 5 games against the NFC North.

In five of the Buccaneers’ last seven games against the Packers, the total went over in the O/U.

Gambling Analyst Selection Sam Panayotovich:

The Bucs are basically the walking wounded right now.

Tom Brady – still less than three offensive linemen – will likely be without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and Julio Jones vs. Green Bay, and the news just keeps getting worse. Defensive end and elite run stopper Akiem Hicks is out with plantar fasciitis, which only makes life in the Packers backfield easier.

Aaron Rodgers passed the ball 33 times to Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon for 193 yards last Sunday night. The Cheeseheads won’t have as much success against Tampa Bay, but the balance has always kept Green Bay’s offense alive under Matt LaFleur.

It’s tough to bet against Brady, but the Packers are the game.

SELECT: Packers (+1.5 on FOX Bet) lose by less than 1.5 points (or win outright)
