NFL odds Week 3: How to bet Raiders-Titans

Two teams that made it last year NFL Playoffs enter this week 3 matchup winless.

The Las Vegas Raiders travel to Nashville to face the Tennessee Titans Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET at Nissan Stadium.

After going 20-0 at halftime in their matchup against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, the Raiders scored just 3 more points before losing 29-23 in overtime. The addition of Davante Adams should propel this team to the top, but Las Vegas still faces the same inconsistency, questionable watch management, and miscalculations. The Raiders need to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive in the hard-fought AFC West.

How quickly things change in a year. Last season the Titans were the front runners in the AFC, this season they clearly aren’t. Following Monday night’s loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Titans are looking to recapture some of the mojo that served them well in 2021. Although they have some leeway in the AFC South, a 0-3 will test those limits.

Here’s everything you need from a Raiders Titans game betting perspective, from point spread, moneyline, total over/under and expert picks (odds via FOX Bet):

Cooper Rush led the Dallas Cowboys to a surprise 20-17 win in Week 2.

FOX Sports Betting Analyst’s Picks Jason McIntyre:

Call me crazy but this feels like an early eliminator in the AFC playoff race. Both teams made the playoffs last year, but both sit 0-2 after stifling games in the fourth quarter — the Raiders at home against Arizona and the Titans at home against the Giants in Week 1.

Tennessee are underdogs at home under Mike Vrabel, which is usually a good bet, but with this defense, can you hold up against Davante Adams and Darren Waller? Buffalo’s offense scored 34 points in Monday’s two-and-a-half quarters, and the starters sat out fourth-place. The Raiders could have that kind of success. Unless Hunter Renfrow fumbles in overtime on Sunday, the Raiders are likely 1-1, and that spread is -3.5.

When it comes to Las Vegas, the only thing to watch out for is fatigue. The Raiders have played 78 games against the Cardinals and will now travel across the country for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.

The Titans were grounded by Saquon Barkley in Week 1, so there’s a chance Josh Jacobs could break away for a big game. And I expect Adams to surpass his 2-catch, 12-yard stride from last week by the end of the first quarter.

Tennessee have looked pathetically inept at all stages of the game for two weeks, and I’m rolling the chalk here.

SELECT: Raiders (-2.5 on FOX Bet at time of pick) win by more than 2.5 points
