This is a number more than anything.

We don’t yet know who will start as quarterback for Miami — Tua Tagovailoa and Teddy Bridgewater are both on concussion protocol — and this line is basically the middle ground. If Bridgewater plays, it’s likely to drop to Minnesota -2 or -2.5. If Skylar Thompson starts, it’ll probably run to -3.5 or -4.

Minnesota is always making games against smaller opponents more interesting, and while that’s alarming for the bigger picture, Vikings -3 feels like a decent bet. It’s not about -4 against the Saints in London or -7 at home against the Bears.

I think Thompson is starting for the Dolphins so I would put the 3 points now.
