Selection via FOX Sports NFL Analyst Geoff Schwartz:

The Panthers are not a good football team. You recently fired your coach. They have one win in six games by a minus 43 point margin. That’s good for last in the NFC. The Panthers are on their third-string quarterback and rumor has it that every player with a pulse is in the trade market. However, Tampa Bay is a stinky fish right now and I’ll be glad the Panthers are scoring double digits this game.

Let’s look at the Bucs’ last four games. They had a 12-point tally in a loss to the Packers, a 21-point loss to the Chiefs, a six-point win at home to the Falcons, and finally an embarrassing loss on the road to the lowly Steelers. The Bucs are a wildly inconsistent team right now. Defense is excellent until it’s not, as evidenced by Mitch Trubisky and a poor Steelers offense converting in multiple third-and-long situations. The Bucs offense is disjointed and poor in the red zone.

I’m not someone who often questions Tom Brady, but it seems his weekly schedule isn’t helping his game. Having one day off per week at his age is appropriate and enjoying oneself off the field is encouraged. However, if you’ve been successful in your career with a rigid prep schedule, and that schedule is wildly different this season, the results on the field speak for themselves.

The Bucs just aren’t trustworthy and 10 points is way too many to spot a team down the road.

SELECT: Panthers (+10.5 on FOX Bet) lose by less than 10.5 points (or win outright)
