You’ll have to wait until the weekend to see the 49ers’ injury report before shooting at this one. After Sunday’s loss to the Falcons, San Francisco had 11 of 22 starters either on injured reserve, inactive for the game, or leaving the game early.

Atlanta’s Marcus Mariota was a 13-for-14 pass and the Falcons rushed 168 yards in the San Francisco riot.

What will Patrick Mahomes do against this battered defence?

They should be able to move up and down the field easily, unlike when those two teams met at Super Bowl LIV in 2020, and the 49ers’ deep defensive line kept the Chiefs at bay for the first 50 minutes.

The 49ers should also have success, but keep an eye on KC’s injury report as they are expected to bring back cornerback Rashad Fenton and Trent McDuffie from the first round. Neither played against the Bills. Her return would allow defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to dial in more strobes, something Jimmy Garoppolo struggled with (two TDs, two INTs). But the Chiefs are tied for the NFL lead in missed tackles (39), which doesn’t bode well against the yards-after-catch-heavy 49ers.

PICK: Chiefs team over 25 points overall (-110 on FOX Bet, bet $10 to win $19.09 in total)
