Week 3 action kicks off Thursday with two games, including a meetup between the 49ers and Texans, which will air on Amazon Prime and give fans a chance to get acquainted with the streaming platform’s revamped presentation for the upcoming season make.

On Friday, the newly minted Panthers starting quarterback Baker Mayfield will see a quarter of the action against the Bills, who have decided to rest Josh Allen along with other key starters. Saturday, the busiest day of week three of the preseason, features eight games, three of which will be broadcast live on the NFL Network.

The preseason action concludes Sunday when the Lions travel to Pittsburgh to take on a Steelers team that has yet to name a starting quarterback, though Mitch Trubisky will start in front of a national television audience. Rookie Kenny Pickett will be building up after his strong start to preseason to make the decision even tougher for coach Mike Tomlin.
