Pokémon GO: How To Evolve Cosmog

In order to evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem in Pokémon GO, Trainers must complete Special Research tasks to obtain the Candy needed for the evolution.

One of the more notable new pocket monsters introduced during Pokemon GO‘s Season of Light is Cosmog, a legendary Psychic-type Pokémon from Alola. Those who have seen Pokémon the Series Sun & Moon will recognize this tiny cosmic pocket monster, as it was the main Pokémon in the series. To unlock Cosmog, trainers must complete the first part of the Cosmic Companion Special Research story in Pokemon GO. This quest line required players to catch fifteen Pokémon, make ten curveball throws, and catch fifteen Psychic-type Pokémon. Once these objectives are met, participants will be rewarded with an encounter with the legendary Cosmog.

While the sparkling and beautifully colored Cosmog in one’s Pokédex will suffice for most trainers Pokemon GO, many are probably curious about how to evolve this Legendary into its evolved form, Cosmoem. When players check the Pokémon’s info screen, the Evolution option will be available under the Power Up option. Only 25 candies are required to transform the legendary Cosmog into Cosmoem Pokemon GObut the main question is where trainers can acquire these candies.

Aside from the reward encounter for the Special Research, it’s unlikely that trainers will find Cosmog in the wild very often. Therefore, getting 25 candies for its evolution seems like an impossible task Pokemon GO. Luckily, the solution lies in the continuation of the Cosmic Companion Special Research, which will eventually guide players in evolving the Cosmic Legendary Pocket Monster.

Evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem in Pokémon GO

According to Dexerto, Pokemon GO Fans will receive 25 Cosmog Candy after completing Step 4 of the Cosmic Companion Special Research quest line. This is the amount required to evolve it into Cosmoem. In addition, step 5 includes the goal “Develop a Cosmog‘, meaning that those who pull this act through are eventually tasked with achieving the goal originally desired.

Once the above objectives are met, players will be tasked with completing five field research tasks, powering each Pokémon ten times, and evolving their Cosmog Pokemon GO. As of October 2022, Cosmoem is the only member of Cosmog’s evolution family, as Lunala and Solgaleo have still not made their debut in the game.
