Pro gambler Billy Walters has just registered trademarks for his handicap system
Retired professional gambler, ex-convict and well-known philanthropist Billy Walters has just trademarked his handicap system, which could be good news for sports players looking for an edge from a guy who once made $1 million at a round of golf, only to lose it that night at blackjack.
In a VSiN interview earlier this year, Walters said:
I think I can help a lot of people. I will apply everything I’ve learned about gambling and sports betting in 64 years. And I’m going to put everything I know into the book, be it technical or non-technical.

Walters will launch an APP to support sports players with statistical analysis
The trademarks Walters applied for were “BILLY WALTERS”, “THE BILLY WALTERS HANDICAPPING SYSTEM” and “THE BILLY WALTERS SPORTS HANDICAPPING SYSTEM”, his name for the method by which he selects the best bets available.
The product, which Walters will offer, according to the brands, will “provide news, information, advice and commentary in the field of sports, entertainment, sports teams, athletes, sporting events, sports betting (sic) and gaming.”
The sports gambler, who joined Computer Group in the 1980s and has a 30-year winning streak in this troubled world, believes he knows enough about sports betting to help those bettors with less knowledge of the angles that Walters can use his system will program into an APP.
It makes perfect sense considering that, according to his own website, Walters spent much of his free time “pioneering the use of computer analysis for handicap games,” and you can bet this ex-con has it all , what he has to offer will exceed Board and in accordance with the law.
Walters was serving a sentence for his involvement in an insider trading program
In 2017, Walters was found guilty of insider trading after making $32 million in profits and avoiding $11 million in losses using non-public information he received from a Dean Foods board member had, an offense that cost him a 5-year prison sentence.
After his appeal was denied, Walters spent time at Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, but was released on house arrest in Carlsbad, California due to the global pandemic, pending his commute from former US President Donald Trump in 2021.
