Rhode Island’s Preserve Sporting Club Is The Ideal Resort, Offering Something For Everyone

If your friends and family are looking for a unique getaway, The Preserve Sporting Club is an excellent choice. This private club is also a hotel with multiple room options, from spacious multi-bedroom lodge suites with fireplaces to cozy tiny homes with bunk beds. All rooms are super comfortable and have full kitchens and very fast wifi.

Though the rooms are luxurious, the real reason to visit the Preserve is the endless array of world-class activities. You can stop by the equestrian center and sign up for horseback riding lessons or spend time practicing your archery skills. The Preserve has a great clay court and the longest indoor range in the country. You can also go ziplining, visit the gym, or sign up for a yoga class. Of course there is an 18-hole golf course, as well as grass and clay tennis courts. There are ten fly fishing ponds or you can book a day trip and fish from the property. The nearby Wood River Pawcatuck Watershed is an excellent spot for canoeing and kayaking, and if you just want to get outside there are miles of hiking trails.

The spa at the Preserve is a little unusual. You can book a customized massage that includes unique aromatherapy oils or a couples massage. and there’s a youthful revealing facial and the sniper gentleman’s facial created for the boys. However, an affiliation with Oceanside Medical means there is also an on-site medical spa. Here you can sign up for a fat-reducing Emsculpt treatment or receive a dermafiller or botox treatment in a more intimate spa setting.

The food is one of the highlights at the Preserve. The Double Barrel Kitchen offers traditional fine American cuisine. Here you can enjoy crab and corn fritters, a margarita flatbread, a shrimp cocktail made with giant shrimp, and a perfectly served filet mignon with mushroom risotto. However, for a truly unique dining experience, reserve one of the property’s Maker Mark’s Hobbit Houses. Nestled among boulders on the hillside, guests enter through a carved wooden door and enjoy a magical evening combining grilled specialties with a bourbon tasting menu. This is a fantasy picture book experience for adults. Another fun experience takes place in the safari tents, where you can enjoy a tasting of Laphroaig Scotch and Cohiba cigars. a plate of cheese, venison salami and other delicacies are a nice side dish. In the summertime, the H2O Cafe offers poolside light snacks and the White Birch Cafe is the place for a more casual meal.
