A fan favorite of several Indian cricket lovers Sanju Samson has arrived in Zimbabwe for the 3 match ODI series. Before the start of the cricket task in Harare, Samson was asked some intriguing rapid-fire questions. While the wicket-keeper-batter managed to dodge some questions efficiently, he answered a few others directly.
One of the questions asked Samson to choose between football greats Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite claiming he admires both equally, Samson admitted he prefers the Argentine just a little bit more than the Portuguese.
When it came to picking his “preferred sports personality,” Samson said he’s had some great sports personalities to play with. The one that stays on top is MS Dhoni.

Samson is expected to compete with Ishan Kishan for the wicket-keeper spot in the 3-match ODI series. Both players aren’t necessarily the focus of India’s plans at ODIs but want to make their mark to justify a more prominent role in the team.
Both Kishan and Sanju are currently in the same boat, with Rishabh Pant being the No. 1 wicket-keeper.

In fact, Kishan was recently asked for his opinion on the decisions made by the selectors. The young wicket-keeper batter gave a rather mature reply.

“I think what selectors do is fair. When selecting the players, you gave a lot of thought to who should have the opportunity and where. It’s positive for me because if I don’t get picked I’ll work harder and get more runs. Of course, if the selectors have faith in me, they will keep me on the team,” Kishan told ANI at an event in Patna last week.
