SIGA expands sporting integrity role in Asia at B20 Summit

since January 2021 ad personam member of the B20, SIGA’s Global CEO Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros will speak at the 28th edition of the CII Partnership Summit held in New Delhi on 13-15 March 2023 under the Indian Presidency of the G20/B20.

SIGA on corporate governance

The summit was organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry in partnership with the Indian Ministry of Trade and Industry. The summit aims to involve over 2000 in-person delegates and thousands to follow online via live streaming Promoting the agenda to strengthen partnerships and shape new economic cooperation between countries, and under Companies – download the program of events.

The SIGA Global CEO participates in the high-level panel entitled “Good Corporate Governance – Imperative for ESG Compliance”. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, takes place from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. local time (06:45-07:45 CET).

The session explored the importance of good corporate governance and how to ensure effective ESG frameworks are implemented to ensure viability and sustainability. It also underscores SIGA’s commitment to progressive reforms in the critical areas of ESG and to enable sport and the broader global industry to thrive through collaborative, multi-stakeholder driven and supported reform.

The line-up of speakers consists of the following personalities:

• Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros – Global CEO of SIGA, Chairman & CEO of SIGA AMERICA, Executive Chairman of SIGA EUROPE and Chairman & CEO of SIGA LATIN AMERICA
• Julia Charlton – Founder and Principal Partner, Charltons Law
• Nelson Cunningham – Vice Chairman and Co-Founder, McLarty Associates (USA)
• Sanjeev Kumar Singhal – Member of Central Council, Chair, Auditing and Assurance Standards Board, Vice-Chair, Sustainability Reporting Standards Board, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

The panel discussion will be moderated by Rajeev PeshawariaCEO of Stewardship Asia Centre, Temasek Trust and will be streamed live on YouTube.

Member of the “B20 Task Force on Inclusive GVCs for Resilient Global Trade and Investment”, Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros will also attend his second meeting on Wednesday 15 March.

The framework for the summit could not be more timely as SIGA is rapidly expanding its global role and membership base. During his trip to India, Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros will also participate in several meetings with global business leaders, international organizations and local SIGA partners to further strengthen action-oriented collaboration and drive greater sports integrity across Asia across the globe.
