How to import save data from Splatoon 2 to Splatoon 3

1. Play Splatoon 2 first. This seems obvious, but if you turn on the game once, save, and then launch Splatoon 3, you won’t earn the world. You’ll need to put in a few serious hours in Splatoon 2 to reap the most rewards.
2. Make sure you are connected to the internet. Nintendo doesn’t want people to abuse the rewards, so the system runs an internet check as soon as you open Splatoon 3 to make sure people are only redeeming the rewards once.
3. Open Splatoon 3. If you need to update your game, do so first. When the game opens, it will look for saved data and display your stats if it finds them.
4. Choose whether you want to import the data. Not you to have to transfer your data if you are looking for a little challenge. However, you have no option to import the save data later if you opt out now, so choose carefully.
5. You are ready! To activate your rewards, you must participate in at least one online battle.
