The spring sale has started. Although spring doesn’t really start until March 20th, retailers kick off the weekend with a wide range of deals on outdoor gear, apparel and small appliances.
March is not typically a big month for retail holidays. In fact, the next big retail holiday isn’t scheduled until the end of May. Consumer spending, however, fell last month (opens in new tab) with department store sales slipping 4% from the previous month. Coupled with the uncertainty in financial markets and high prices across the board, retailers are doing everything they can to lure shoppers back.
That means above-average discounts on 4K TVs, clothing and everything in between. I’ve been handling retail sales for over 10 years and can separate real discounts from everyday sales. So I browsed the latest deals and selected the top 50 not to be missed.
Personally, I think Best Buy is offering some of the most aggressive deals this weekend. The Best Buy 3-Day Sale is up to $700 off MacBooks and offers premium headphones for just $99. Big brands like Reebok and Adidas are also offering generous site-wide discounts. These are all sales I would expect on Memorial Day or the 4th of July, but retailers are offering them now.
