Street Fighter 6 Beta: IGN Plays Live – How to Watch and What to Expect
While we may have to wait until 2023 for Street Fighter 6 to officially launch, Capcom has announced that a closed beta is on the way for the highly anticipated next installment in the iconic fighter series. We hope everyone who wants to get involved can try Street Fighter 6, but if not, or you just want to see more of the game in action, IGN is hosting a Let’s Play in Los Angeles to show what makes this new game so special especially.
IGN is covering the stream and as usual, this watch guide gives you everything you need to know to catch the show, including when it starts, a list of where you can catch it with us and what to expect live .
Street Fighter 6 beta live stream start time
IGN’s Street Fighter 6 Let’s Play takes place on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 1 p.m. PT/4pm ET/9pm BST. If you live in Australia this means Saturday 8th October at 6am AEST. The two-hour show will feature gameplay and live matches from the Street Fighter 6 closed beta.
The stream officially begins at 12:30 p.m. PT with a 30-minute countdown/3:30pm ET/8:30pm BST with trailers, gameplay and more.

What to Expect from the Street Fighter 6 Beta Live Stream
IGN’s combat experts, along with the voice of “Luke” Aleks Le, will demonstrate everything included in the Street Fighter 6 closed beta, including character creation, ranked matches, casual matches, battle hub matches, open tournaments, Training Mode and more Extreme Battle Mode.
The closed beta will also include eight of them the total of 18 fighters that will be available at launch of Street Fighter 6, and those eight fighters will be Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri and Ken. Players can try out these characters on six different stages – Metro City Downtown, Genbu Temple, Carrier Byron Taylor, Tian Hong Yuan, The Macho Ring, Training Room.
IGN will be showing as much as we can during the 2-hour Street Fighter 6 Beta: IGN Plays live stream, and we’ll be showcasing the game running on PlayStation 5.
Can I still apply for the Street Fighter 6 Closed Beta?
Unfortunately, Street Fighter 6 Closed Beta registrations are closed and codes have already been sent. Should another test be announced, we will share full details on IGN.
