Takeover LATEST, De Jong BLOW, United still in hunt for Bellingham, Kvaratskhelia LINKED

Scholes urges Utd to opt for Inter-Ass

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has urged his former club to sign Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez.

Scholes told BT Sport: “I like Lautaro Martinez at Inter Milan.

“I think he’s a [Erik] He’s a Ten Hag type player, he likes a center forward who’s running around, aggressive and hitting on people.

“I like United’s current options, I like [Marcus] I like Rashford [Anthony] Martial, but Martial just can’t stay fit. So there are opportunities out there.”

Red Devils still chasing Liverpool target Jude

Manchester United remain in the fight for Borussia Dortmund superstar Jude Bellingham.

United are poised to seal a record-breaking Premier League-Britain deal for Bellingham this summer.

According to The Telegraph, the Red Devils could soon emerge as the front runners after tossing their hat in the face of interest from Manchester City and Liverpool.

Manager Erik ten Hag has ‘genuine interest’ in bringing the midfielder to Old Trafford.

And a source close to the England international claims “everything is up in the air” and Dortmund are looking to keep him for another year.

Qataris to upgrade offer?

The Qataris, who are looking to buy Manchester United, will make an improved second offer.

Representatives of Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad al-Thani were given a tour of Old Trafford and the Carrington training ground, both of which are due for an update soon.

The two parties sat down for 10 hours of positive talks on Thursday to discuss the potential takeover.

This included discussions with various departments including finance heads and recruiting staff on both the Red Devils’ football and business sides.

However, neither the Glazers nor Sheikh Jassim were present while coach Erik ten Hag was in Spain when United beat Real Betis and reached the Europa League quarter-finals.

Red Devils eye ‘new George Best’

United could see George Best’s days return if they complete a transfer for Napoli prodigy Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Kvaratskhelia, 22, has lit up Serie A and the Champions League with his mesmerizing performances this season.

Transfer links to Man Utd have drawn comparisons to legendary Red Devils striker George Best, who is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time.

After a stunning goal against Atalanta, ex-Inter Milan striker Christian Vieri said: “The goal he scored was the stuff of madness!

“If he goes to Manchester United, George Best’s days will come back. Kvaratskhelia is the same.”

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has also backed up this claim.

Ahead of Napoli’s Champions League round of 16 match against Eintracht Frankfurt, Henry told CBS Sports, “He can push. He can hold the ball. He can see a passport.

“He’s just the complete package. Hopefully he can continue and they can win the league.

“If they don’t win the league, it becomes crazy because of the number of points they have ahead of them. Winning the Champions League becomes crazy.”

Napoli have carved out an 18-point lead at the top of Serie A to put themselves in a strong position to claim their first league title since 1990.

Back then, they were inspired by Argentine legend Diego Maradona, and soon after the arrival of Napoli fans, they started naming Kvaratskhelia “Kvaradona”.

And the Georgian has taken on the name Jus

Ten Hag meets Ratcliffe

Erik ten Hag met Sir Jim Ratcliffe during the British billionaire’s visit to Carrington amid takeover talks.

In the background of Old Trafford, the ownership battle rages on as well-funded investors seek to invest in one of football’s biggest clubs.

Yesterday it was the turn of Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani to visit the training ground.

He attended 10-hour speaking engagements at the club as they toured Carrington and Old Trafford.

And today it was Racliffe who had the opportunity to see the club up close.

And unlike Sheikh Jassim, Ineos owner Ratcliffe met the Man United boss who was at the training ground to fulfill his media duties.

Ten Hag told reporters: “I just met her, we shake hands, I’m concentrating on the game, we’re playing a big game on Sunday, we’re just concentrating on that, others at the club are dealing with potential investors.

“My job at this moment is to focus on the game, so let’s talk about the game, it’s a big draw and we have to prepare for it.”

Kard is on the table for Saka

Bukayo Saka might have appeared on the pitch at the end of a loss last night, but fans have cheekily joked that he could potentially be in line for a win in his DMs.

Arsenal were eliminated from the Europa League by Sporting CP after Gabriel Martinelli missed his penalty in a shoot-out.

Fans joke Kim Kardashian will slip into the Arsenal star’s DMs as he’s the only player she films at penalties

Saka converted his and was also the only player filmed by surprise guest Kim Kardashian.

Kim’s performance at the Emirates left fans stunned.

But it appears the visit was for both leisure and business, with her son Saint West, seven, donning an Arsenal shirt, while Kim is also filming a mystery documentary at the north London site.

The reality TV star took to Instagram during the recent visit and filmed Saint cheering for Saka as he stepped forward to take his penalty.

Eagle-eyed fans took this and rushed to social media to joke that Kim slipped into Saka’s private messages.

One user said: “Arsenal let Bukayo Saka down. He was a win away from Kim Kardashian slipping into his DMs.”

A second fan joked: “Kim K cheered for Saka💀😂.”

Others joked about the 21-year-old’s “star power,” adding that Kim’s recognition was the night’s only win.
