The art style takes on a darker feel as the world oscillates between the twilight realm and the typical time of day. It feels unique to the series and really adds character to Hyrule as you explore, and the epic music by Koji Kondo helps bring that darker vibe to life. 3 – The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD

The only Hero of Time adventure that will be the most timeless is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Initially, it caused controversy by some in the community as it was a complete change from the usual graphical design. However, as time has passed, more and more have accepted and even loved the graphic art style that Nintendo has chosen with this GameCube title. Moving your ship around the world to all sorts of islands is a thrill as the waves pound your boat. You’ll also encounter entertaining combat scenarios, exciting boss fights, and plenty of treasures to find in the relatively large world.

The Wii U version is the best on offer as it increases the speed of the boat and fixes some bugs of the GameCube version. The art style also lends itself perfectly to an HD display with its bright and responsive visuals with more powerful software. For heaven’s sake, Nintendo, please publish The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD on the Nintendo Switch so more people can experience this version instead of getting stuck on the Wii U.

It was also exciting to play around with two timelines between Child Link and Adult Link to solve unique puzzles and craft unabashed narratives between the characters and the world they inhabit. We’re still haunted by the zombie-like creatures that roam Hyrule Castle.
