Hot peppers are fairly easy to come by. So if you can pair a handful of these with meat, then go for it. As an example, I used a raw meat with four hot peppers and got a 10:30 minute cold temp boost, which is pretty decent.

You can find Tabantha Wheat by cutting the grass with a pointed weapon at the Tabantha Frontier south of Rito Village. As for the Hateno cheese, head to the village of Hateno and towards Lake Sumac. On the promenade at the coordinates (3633, -2049, 0175)Can you do this “A letter to Koyin” quest, culminating in Hateno Cheese becoming available for purchase.


How to Make Permanently Fried Wild Greens

Roasted wild vegetables are common. You can put some Hylian herbs or other herbs in a cooking pot and get a dish.

Aside from that, this Enduring Fried Wild Greens will refill a ton of hearts while temporarily increasing your max stamina. I used 2 Raw Meats, 2 Hylian Herbs, and 1 Endura Carrot. This restores you 12 hearts and grants almost half an additional stamina wheel, which depletes once it is depleted.

How to make Porgy Meunière

  • recipe ingredients: Tabantha wheat, goat butter and at least one porgy.
  • Effect: Replenishes hearts and increases Attack for about 3:00 minutes.

We’ll think of this. If you’ve stockpiled Porgy Fish (which can be found in Lake Faron and Lake Necluda), combine them with Tabantha Wheat and Goat Butter for a potent meal that also increases Attack for around 3:00 minutes, depending on the amount you eat.

To make Biting Meaty Rice Balls, I cooked one Hylian rice, one raw meat, and two Ice Fruits. This granted me a cold weather attack for 3:30 minutes. Similar to the Frostbite armor, Link’s melee attacks deal cold damage in cold-weather areas.

How to Prepare Warding Simmered Fruit

  • recipe ingredients: Dark lump and any fruit.
  • Effect: Grants darkness resistance.

If you’re venturing into the depths to unlock autobuild or search for the miner’s armor, it’s best to come prepared. Fruits are fairly common in Hyrule, so this recipe won’t be difficult.

As an example, I mixed a Dark Cluster with four Hylian Tomatoes for a total of 4:30 minutes of Dark Resistance. Using three tomatoes instead gave me 4:00 minutes as a reference.

  • recipe ingredients: Tabantha wheat, cane sugar, goat butter and of course an apple.
  • Effect: Restores health and can be combined with other ingredients for different effects.

By default, eating an apple pie only refills hearts. That being said, there’s room for at least one ingredient that can bestow a specific buff – Endura Carrots to give temporary stamina, Sun Delions to heal Dark Hearts, and so on. Plus, it looks delicious on its own.

How to make vegetable curry

  • recipe ingredients: A carrot or pumpkin, along with Hylian Rice and Goron Spice.
  • Effect: Restores health and grants a defense boost or quick effect depending on the ingredient used.

By default, all you need to make a base for a curry is Hylian Rice and Goron Spice (purchased from the merchant in Goron City). Then you can add a carrot or a pumpkin, both of which you can buy in Hateno Village. Choosing a pumpkin gives you a defense boost. If you use a carrot, you’ll get a haze effect instead, increasing your movement speed.
