The Cycle: Frontier – How to Split Items
Inspired by inventory systems like fallout, The cycle: limit rewards cautious players who plan ahead – nothing in a player’s inventory is safe on the harsh planet, and while players can try to “insure” their belongings to make death a little less punishing, it’s still better to go with travel light and pack no more than necessary. The free-to-play game pits players against AI enemies and fellow humans, and as anyone who’s played a video game with other people can tell you, they’re not to be trusted.
In order for players to become masters of resource management and ensure they travel light, it is important to learn how to “share” items. This guide will walk players through the process of organizing, dividing, and packing items before their expeditions to Fortuna III.
Why share articles?
It might seem like a useless mechanic at first – why would not you want to bring Everyone the ammunition Everyone the time? However, when players start looting and quickly find that their inventories are full/overloaded, it becomes clear that proper inventory management is important.
That’s what item splitting is for. A full stack of ammo is useful, but 25 pounds of medium ammo could be better spent healing items, and newer players will need to do a few successful extractions before having the resources to unlock the extra storage space a larger backpack offers.

How to split articles

Once players have found their desired items, they can right-click on the items to send them to their backpack, which acts as a smaller inventory that players take with them to the planet below.
To remove items from inventory (a very satisfying process after returning from a successful extraction), players simply need to right-click on items in their backpack to send them to their inventory ready for sale.
