Three Hopes – How to Farm Materials

Camp facilities are a brand new feature in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. All facilities will eventually be unlocked by the start of Chapter 6, but players will receive guidance on how to upgrade them in Chapter 4. Building on facilities requires materials, which are collectibles that can also be used to trade or sell at camp.

The facilities are similar to the seminars, gates and the dining room in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. By setting up a facility in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, players have access to more resources and have a higher chance of being successful at cooking or doing housework. As most players might have guessed, better facility upgrades require high quality materials. Fortunately, there are a few ways players can farm them.

Gathering of Materials

The easiest way to farm materials is Complete side quests on the war map. Some of the territories that can be surveyed once an area is clear (ie in the blue) give three different materials as rewards. However, not all materials are free, and some NPCs won’t pass them on unless they get something like gold in return.

The second way to get materials is to use them supply depot. After each battle (including those in the Record Holder), players can collect supplies. This is a way to get various items such as forge stones, food, and even materials. Alternatively, players can trade Forge Stones for materials. To start, three Forge Stones will give you a (low grade) material.

By upgrading the Supply Depot, players can reduce the cost of materials and increase the exchange rate. A fully upgraded Supply Depot allows players to purchase materials of any quality. As such, the Supply Depot is one of the first facilities players should work on upgrading.

What to do with materials

The most logical way to use materials is hand them over to Facility Management. There are several categories of materials for each facility. For example, an advanced combat material can only be used for the Tactics Academy, not for the training ground or the kitchen. On a first playthrough, it will be impossible to upgrade every facility to their maximum potential. Fortunately, collected materials are carried over into a New Game Plus.

Once players upgrade all facilities and get an S rank for their camp, they no longer need materials. Players can sell these to the Item Shopkeeper or exchange them for Blacksmith Stones and Minerals at the Supply Depot. This is a good way to farm items needed to forge and unleash weapons.
